Roche's Clinical Distribution organization is responsible for cost-effectively ensuring the right product reaches the right place at the right time. The global Network & Capabilities Chapter manages clinical supply chain distribution across the Roche/Genentech portfolio of over 500 clinical studies, overseeing more than 100,000 shipments annually across 130+ countries.

Aufgaben

Oversee and optimize the distribution network (>100k shipments per year) to enable timely, reliable and efficient delivery for all global Roche/Genentech clinical trials in partnership with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality), customers (Clinical Operations) and external partners (3PLs, LSPs, etc.)
Contribute to and execute the Network & Capabilities Chapter strategy, aligning with overall distribution strategy, including future network and capability readiness and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Oversee, manage and optimize distribution costs and spend (>50m CHF/year)
Drive best practices, standardization and optimization of distribution network processes in collaboration with Business Capability Leads (BCLs) and QA to ensure supply chain reliability
Co-create and execute objectives for the global Network & Capabilities Chapter, enabling continuous improvements and cultural transition towards a self-managed team and organization
Ensure overall compliance of the distribution network according to GxP and GCP standards

Profil

Degree (BA, MS, MBA) in technical, business or supply chain field or relevant experience; certifications like APICS, SCOR, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma or Lean training are a plus
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, including warehouse and transportation management, logistics and regulatory requirements for clinical trials
Relevant GXP experience
Excellent knowledge of clinical supply chain distribution processes, Supplier Relationship Management including negotiations & industry best practices, and the tools and systems needed to enable operational excellence
Act as an architect and catalyst in the distribution organization, taking smart risks and streamlining non-value-adding work
Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to simplify complex issues and convey key messages effectively to senior leadership
Minimum 6 years, preferably 10+ years operational experience in supply chain, distribution, planning and/or manufacturing with significant expertise in clinical supply chain (distribution) management
