Your Role As Housekeeping Supervisor , you will take ownership of the housekeeping operations at one of our City Pop locations in Zurich . This is a hands-on leadership role combining team management, quality control, planning, inventory management, and daily operations. You will help set up and manage our in-house housekeeping team, from recruiting and onboarding staff to organizing schedules, equipment, supplies, and cleaning standards . You will also work alongside the team when needed, particularly during busy periods and operational peaks. Your goal is to build a reliable and efficient housekeeping operation that ensures consistent quality and an excellent guest experience. Your Responsibilities

• Actively perform cleaning duties as part of the housekeeping team . This is a hands-on role, and you will be regularly involved in cleaning apartments and common areas alongside your team, not only during staff shortages or peak periods.
• Take ownership of the setup and daily organization of the housekeeping operation across our City Pop buildings.
• Manage the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of the cleaning team , in coordination with HR, ensuring all employees are trained according to City Pop standards and procedures.
• Prepare and manage the weekly cleaning schedules , considering occupancy, arrivals and departures, holidays, sick leave, and operational needs.
• Act as the main point of contact for the cleaning team , supporting them with daily questions, operational issues, and priorities.
• Ensure apartments and common areas are cleaned, inspected, and ready on time , carrying out regular quality controls and following up on any issues until resolution.
• Set up and manage the housekeeping inventory , including the purchase of cleaning equipment and materials such as tools, chemicals, cloths, trolleys, and other required supplies.
• Manage and replenish guest supplies handled by Housekeeping, including toilet paper, soaps, coffee, tea, and other amenities , ensuring sufficient stock is always available and properly organized on-site.
• Manage housekeeping supplies and purchases within the agreed budget , monitoring stock levels, consumption, and costs.
• Organize deep cleanings, special cleanings, and apartment preparations , and ensure correct management of Lost & Found.
• Report technical defects or damages and coordinate with Operations, Facility Management, technicians, and other departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Continuously review housekeeping processes and team performance, implementing improvements to increase quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction .
• At least 3 years of professional housekeeping experience , ideally in hotels, serviced apartments, or the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role is a strong advantage.
• Experience in leading, training, and coordinating cleaning teams .
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, quality control, inventory, and daily cleaning operations .
• A strong hands-on mentality , with the willingness to work alongside the team when required.
• Well organized, proactive, solution-oriented, and able to manage priorities independently.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent guest and service orientation .
• Minimum B2 level in both German and English ; additional languages are an advantage.
• Comfortable using digital tools and operational systems.
• Reliable, flexible, and stress-resistant , with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
