Über den Job

The Professorship for Learning Sciences and Higher Education at ETH Zurich is seeking a motivated student assistant (30%) starting in October 2026. You will support VR experiments in embodied learning research, particularly in STEM fields like physics and mathematics. The research group investigates how people learn and develops learning environments to better support learning.

Aufgaben

Conduct studies independently according to study protocols
Set up VR and address technical issues after training
Conduct in-depth interviews about users' experience
Manage data properly

Profil

Currently enrolled as a student at a university in Zurich
Fluent in English
Able to explain basic physics or mathematics concepts clearly
Strong attention to detail and responsible work ethic
Available approximately 10-15 hours per week during October - December (at least 1 full day per week)
Able to grasp technical aspects and respond quickly to issues (prior VR experience not required)
Interested in interacting with people
Previous experience in interviewing or teaching is a plus

Employment: 30%, up to 15 hours per week
Period: October - December 2026
