Über den Job

The Boettcher Lab at the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology, University Hospital Zurich, investigates fundamental molecular mechanisms of hematopoiesis, stem cell biology, and leukemogenesis. The successful candidate will lead an innovative research project investigating molecular mechanisms of hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction to identify novel therapeutic opportunities for inherited bone marrow failure.

Aufgaben

Independently design, coordinate, and perform experimental research projects
Establish and characterize advanced in vitro and in vivo disease models
Develop and apply CRISPR-based genome editing and functional genomics approaches
Conduct mechanistic investigations using molecular and cellular techniques
Analyze and interpret complex experimental datasets
Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students
Contribute to scientific publications and presentations at international conferences

Profil

PhD in molecular biology, biomedical sciences, genetics, cancer biology, or a related discipline
Strong experimental background in molecular and cellular biology
Experience in genome editing, functional genomics, or stem cell biology highly desirable
Experience with preclinical models, next-generation sequencing, or high-throughput screening an advantage
Strong publication record appropriate to career stage
Scientific curiosity, creativity, independence, and excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
