SFIVET is Switzerland's expert organisation for vocational education and training, offering basic and continuing training to VET professionals, conducting research and supporting international cooperation. The organisation has regional campuses in Zollikofen near Bern (main campus), Lausanne and Lugano, plus off-campus space in Olten and Zurich.

Aufgaben

Leading the Research and Development division strategically and academically, with overall responsibility for operations, staff and finances
Safeguarding the academic quality and relevance of SFIVET's research, promoting a culture of high-quality publishing and methodological diversity
Securing and delivering competitive research projects and externally funded projects
Supporting early-career researchers and fostering a professional development environment
Strengthening knowledge and innovation transfer between research, VET practice and education policy
Bringing the Research and Development perspective to SFIVET's strategic development as a member of the Executive Committee
Representing SFIVET and its research interests with key stakeholders nationally and internationally

Profil

Proven leadership experience in a higher education or research environment, particularly in leading academic teams and developing staff
Academic expertise combined with strategic thinking and strong communication skills
Established research profile in VET research or related field, with a doctorate in a relevant discipline and excellent academic track record
In-depth knowledge of VET and the Swiss VET system
Successful track record in developing research projects and securing external funding
Established national and international academic network
Very good command of German, French or Italian; good command of another Swiss national language; very good command of English
Willingness to maintain presence across SFIVET's various locations
